Photography & Woodworking by Dan Hausner uses rural and natural scenes from the Adirondacks and northern and western New York to tell the story of the world around the photographer.
Rather than looking for certain types of images, Dan Hausner takes photos that capture the unique feeling of a particular place at the moment when the image was taken. His work includes a wide range of styles and subject matter.
Custom frames made of locally produced wood and reclaimed material are designed and built by the artist, who carefully pairs the farm with the proper combination of matte and frame so all three work together as one piece of art.
Dan Hausner is a photographer and woodworker from New York’s Saranac Lake. Originally from downstate New York, he has called the Adirondacks home for nearly a decade. Between time photographing and working as a full-time construction laborer, Dan spends time in the mountains and lakes around his home hiking, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
